Laboratory Testing & Analysis
Talladega Foundry maintains a complete quality laboratory capable of performing sand analysis, metal analysis, and spectrograph analysis. These laboratory capabilities allow our team to evaluate incoming materials as well as the parts produced throughout the manufacturing process. By carefully monitoring both the materials used and the castings produced, we are able to maintain the consistency and metallurgical integrity required for dependable iron castings.
Our laboratory performs a variety of testing procedures designed to verify that castings meet required specifications and performance standards. Testing includes, but is not limited to, tensile testing, hardness testing, metal analysis, spectrograph analysis, and sand analysis. These tests allow us to evaluate the strength and durability of castings, confirm the chemical composition of the metal, and ensure the molding sand used in the casting process performs correctly.
