Talladega Foundry produces both gray iron and ductile iron using two BBC IT-6P induction furnaces. Induction melting technology provides precise temperature control and consistent management of metal chemistry, which is essential for producing castings that meet strict strength, durability, and performance standards. This level of control allows our team to maintain reliable melt quality and deliver consistent results for each production run.
To ensure the highest level of quality and consistency, we follow a disciplined production schedule in which only one grade of iron is poured each day. By dedicating each melt cycle to a single grade of iron, we eliminate the possibility of cross-contamination between materials and maintain tight control over the chemical composition of every batch.
Our core-making department creates the internal molds that form critical passages and structural features within each casting.
